GalaxEye’s next-generation satellites, planned for launch by 2027, are set to enhance Earth observation capabilities with sharper imaging, faster revisit times, and advanced all-weather sensing technology. Their second satellite will feature a resolution of 0.5 meters, improving upon their first satellite, Mission Drishti, which has a 1.25-meter resolution and leverages a unique fusion of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and multispectral optical sensors for high-resolution, all-weather, day-and-night imaging. These advancements make GalaxEye’s satellites particularly valuable for defence, disaster response, urban security, maritime awareness, and risk intelligence applications.

Advanced Technology and Capabilities

GalaxEye’s next-gen satellites will use an in-house developed SyncFusion SAR-Optical imaging system that combines SAR and optical imaging on a single platform. This fusion allows the satellites to capture detailed images regardless of weather conditions or lighting, surpassing traditional optical-only satellites. The second satellite will go further by reducing revisit times to under three days and delivering sharper spatial resolution at 0.5 meters, enabling faster and more precise geospatial intelligence for complex mission needs.

Enhanced Mission Applications

These satellites target several high-priority sectors, including international defence markets (US, West Asia, Europe), disaster management, urban security, maritime surveillance, and infrastructure monitoring. Their real-time data and all-weather imaging capabilities provide critical insights required for rapid decision-making in defence and national security, as well as commercial sectors like agriculture and financial risk assessment.

Development and Launch Timeline

GalaxEye announced the development of this second satellite in 2025, with a tentative launch window slated for late 2026 or early 2027. This satellite will be the company's second Earth observation mission, following the planned launch of Mission Drishti, which will validate their multi-sensor technology in orbit. The company is currently engaged in mission concept and preliminary design reviews to ensure the new satellite meets stringent performance and operational criteria.
